The Cabinet of Curiosities 2007
This is an on-going project, started as a visual diary, but it developed into a collection of curiosities, which the viewer may or may not feel some association with, taken from daily experiences either visual or mental, the nature of art practice/theory, or as some formal development from one piece to another.
It was a lighter hearted approach to scale and thought processes, having worked on larger pieces of work for long, extended periods of time. It is throwing up new themes, recurrent themes and creating ideas and forms that l will explore in more depth later.

Gap Piece disaster
Having had an accident with this sculpture l decided to deliberately destroy this piece. This l had done with previous work by dismantling it, or recycling it, often one work into another, just as the ‘Gap Piece’ had been made from a previous work entitled ‘Panel V’, which had in turn been recycled from a large structure titled ‘Shelter’. It also has resonances with the bombing of buildings as of late, in America, Nairobi and Mombasa and other countries.
Large chunks of the ‘Gap Piece’ were salvaged for their shape and form, colour and size for photographing separately as isolated fragments.
